Rnd 1: With white, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6 sc).

Rnd 4: Sc in each of next 7 sts, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of next 7 sts. (18 sc).
Rnd 5: Sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of last 4 sts (20 sc).
Rnd 6: Sc in each of next 9 sts, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of last 9 sts (22 sc).

Rnd 11: Sc in each of next 21 sts, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of last 21 sts (46 sc).
Rnd 12: (Sc in each of next 9 sts, 2 sc in next st) Twice, sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 9 sts, 2 sc
in next st, sc in each of last 9 sts (50 sc).
Rnd 13: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 14: Sc in each of next 22 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of last 22 sts. (52 sc).
Rnd 15: Sc in each of next 9 sts, sc dec, sc in each of next 5 sts, sc dec, sc in each of next 16 sts, sc dec, sc in each of next
5 sts, sc dec, sc in each of last 9 sts (48 st).
Rnd 16: (Sc in each of next 5 sts, sc dec) 3 times, sc in each of next 8 sts, sc dec, (sc in each of 5 sts, dc dec) twice, sc in

-With tapestry needle, sew eyes between rnds 9 and 10, 7 sts apart.
Rnd 17: (Sc in each of next 5 sts, sc dec) repeat around. (36 sts).
-Stuff head lightly and continue to stuff as work progresses.
Rnd 18: (Sc in each of next 2 sts, sc dec) rep around. (27 sts)
Rnd 19: (Sc in each of next 7 sts, sc dec) rep around. (24 sts)
Rnd 20: (Sc in each of next 4 sts, sc dec) rep around. (20 sts)
Rnd 21: (Sc in each of next 3 sts, sc dec) rep around. (16 sts)
Rnd 22: (Sc in each of next 2 sts, sc dec) rep around. (12 sts)
Rnd 23: (Sc dec) rep around, join in beg sc dec, fasten off, leaving 6” end. (6 sts).
Finish stuffing head. Weave 6” end through sts of last rnd, pull tightly to close, fasten off.

Ear: (make 4):
Rnds 1 & 2: Rep rnds 1 and 2 of head. (12 sc at end of rnd 2)
Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep around, join in beg sc, fasten off. (18 sc)
Sew 2 pieces tog to form 1 ear. Sew ears to rnds 15 and 16 of head, leaving 12 sts between ears.

Body:
Rnds 1 to 3: Rep rnds 1 to 3 of ear. (18 sc at end of rnd 3).
Rnds 4 to 12: Sc in each sc around, inc 6 sc evenly sp around on each rnd. (72 sc at end of rnd 12).
Rnd 13: Working in back lps only this rnd, sc in ach sc around. (72 sc)
Rnds 14 to 18: Sc in each st around. (72 sc)
Rnd 19: Sc around, working 6 sc dec evenly sp around. (66 sts)
Rnds 20 to 24: Rep rnds 14 to 18. (66 sc)
Rnds 25 to 30: Rep rnds 19 to 14. (60 sts)
-Insert cardboard at bottom of body and stuff as work progresses.
Rnd 31: Rep rnd 19. (54 sts)
Rnds 32 to 34: Rep rnd 14. (54 sc)
Rnds 35 to 42: Rep rnds 31 to 34 alternately. (42 sts on each of last 4 rnds)
Rnds 43 to 45: Rep rnd 19. (24 sts on rnd 45)
Rnds 46 to 48: rep rnds 32 to 34, at end of rnd 48, join in beg sc, fasten off. (24 sc)
-Sew head to top of body.

Arm: (make 2):
Rnds 1 & 2: Beg at bottom of arm, rep rnds 1 and 2 of head. (12 sc at end of rnd 2)
Rnd 3: (Sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep around. (15 sc)
Rnds 4 to 20: Sc in each st around; at end of rnd 20, ch 1, turn. (15 sc)
-Stuff arm.
Row 21: Sc in each of first 6 sc, ch 1, turn.
Row 22: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn. (6 sc)
Row 23: Sc dec, sc in each of next 2 sts, sc dec, fasten off. (4 sts)
-Sew arms to side of body, 5 rnds below head. Tack bottoms of arms to side of body.

Scarf:
Row 1: With green, ch 85, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, ch 1, turn. (84 sc)
Rows 2 to 5: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn; at end of row 5, do not ch 1, do not turn.
Rnd 6: Sl st around scarf, join beg sl st, fasten off.
-Tie scarf around bear’s neck.

Hat:
Rnd 1: With green, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (8 sc)
Rnd 2-23: Sc in each sc around to last st, 2 sc in last st; at end of rnd 23, join in beg sc, fasten off, leaving end for sewing.
(30 sc at end of rnd 23:
-Place hat over left ear and sew in place. Fold tip of hat over and tack in place. Sew jingle bell to tip of hat.

Finishing:
With tapestry needle and black yarn, using pic as a guide, embroider nose and mouth on bear.
